1. Important Legal Notice
All offered services are non-clinical, educational, and supportive in nature. They do not replace an approved medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment. If you are located in the United States or any other country, please note that the services are provided from Germany and are subject to German law.
2. Scope and Applicable Law
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all services of KeyToBetterLife LLC in the fields of coaching, RTT® (using hypnosis), as well as consultations, individual sessions, packages, and programs between KeyToBetterLife LLC and clients in their respective valid versions at the time of contract conclusion. Legal transactions can be concluded via email, contract conclusion, or via the website.
The language available for contract conclusion is exclusively German. Translations are for informational purposes only; in case of discrepancies, the German text shall prevail.
Furthermore, these GTC apply to all digital offers, especially online meetings, webinars, and appointment scheduling conducted via platforms such as Meetergo, Microsoft Teams, Webex, or alternative tools like Zoom, Google Meet, redconnect, or comparable services.
Only these General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply. Deviating conditions apply only if KeyToBetterLife LLC expressly agrees in writing or in text form.
The applicable law is German law excluding private international law and the UN Sales Convention, insofar as the contracting party is an entrepreneur or does not have its habitual residence within the EU. For consumers with habitual residence in an EU member state, German law applies considering the mandatory consumer protection regulations of the respective country.
3. Conclusion of Contract, Services, and Subject Matter of the Contract
KeyToBetterLife LLC offers the following services: RTT® (hypnosis) sessions, individual and group coaching, as well as medical consultation. The selection of the method is made by agreement and after comprehensive clarification of advantages and disadvantages. No specific success is owed.
All offers on the website are non-binding and do not constitute a legally binding contractual offer.
(1) A contract is concluded as soon as an appointment is made by the client and confirmed by KeyToBetterLife LLC in writing, via email, or by phone. For program bookings or packages signing a written contract is required. KeyToBetterLife LLC reserves the right to reject a contract without stating reasons, particularly if the necessary trust relationship is lacking, legal provisions oppose it, or factual reasons exclude cooperation.
(2) The contract starts upon receipt of the first payment in the KeyToBetterLife LLC account and ends with the completion of the booked service, such as individual sessions, programs, or chosen packages. All sessions must be held within the agreed timeframe.
(3) Offered services include, among others:
- Individual sessions
- Rapid Transformational Therapy© sessions (hypnosis)
- Coaching (individual and group formats)
- Hypno-recordings/audios
- Medical consultation.
The method selection is made by agreement and after comprehensive clarification of advantages and disadvantages.
(4) All offers on the website and on the internet are non-binding and do not constitute a legally binding contractual offer.
(5) For bookings made via email, the following applies:
- The preparatory initial interview forms the basis of the consulting service. This initial interview takes place online. All questions about the process, content, and payment options are clarified in this interview.
- Afterwards, the clients
- notify in writing or orally whether they wish to proceed with cooperation.
- KeyToBetterLife LLC then sends the client a contract as a PDF by email.
- The contract becomes binding upon signing.
- After receiving the signed contract documents, the client receives an invoice.
- After payment is received, the claim to the contractually agreed service arises.
(6) Place of service provision:
- All sessions, coaching, and Rapid Transformational Therapy© sessions usually take place online via platforms such as Meetergo, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or Zoom.
- Only by special arrangement can a Rapid Transformational Therapy© session also take place in person.
4. Fees, Prices, and Payment Conditions
(1) The applicable prices are disclosed prior to contract conclusion. Gross prices (including statutory VAT) are stated to clients, net prices plus statutory VAT to entrepreneurs. All prices apply according to the individual agreement in the offer or contract.
(2) The agreed fee is due before the start of the first session and must be paid by bank transfer, credit card, or via a secure online payment platform, unless installment payments were expressly agreed upon, see (5). For installment payments, each payment must be made before the agreed period begins. An invoice is usually sent by email as a PDF document.
(3) Access to sessions is only granted after full payment has been received. For digital programs, access is only unlocked after crediting the KeyToBetterLife LLC account; access data is then promptly provided.
(4) Payment modalities:
- Individual sessions: payment in advance or immediately after the session
- Packages: one-time payment or payment in 2–3 installments according to individual agreement (1st installment before the first session)
- Digital programs / downloads: payment upon booking (non-refundable after unlocking or download)
(5) Installment payments are possible by express agreement. Any increase in the total amount compared to a single payment will be transparently communicated before contract conclusion. Early payment of the entire remaining amount is possible at any time. If a person using client services is in arrears with an installment after reminder and deadline, KeyToBetterLife LLC can terminate the installment agreement; the remaining total amount then becomes immediately due.
(6) Refunds:
Refunds for unused sessions of a prepaid package may be made partially upon request. Used sessions are charged at the regular single price; discounts or special conditions are considered. Already downloaded digital content or started programs are excluded from refunds.
(7) KeyToBetterLife LLC reserves the right to withhold, interrupt or entirely stop services in case of payment default until all due amounts are settled. Claims for damages by clients in this case are excluded.
(8) Set-off or withholding against claims of KeyToBetterLife LLC is only permitted with undisputed or legally established counterclaims.
(9) Contract duration and termination
- The contract duration depends on the booked package. Usually, the contract ends automatically upon fulfillment, i.e., when the entire fee has been paid and the corresponding service provided.
- The extraordinary termination right of both parties remains unaffected. KeyToBetterLife LLC has an extraordinary termination right especially if the client is more than twice in default with payments, intentionally violates provisions of these GTC, intentionally or negligently commits prohibited acts or the necessary trust relationship is sustainably disturbed.
5. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Terminations
(1) A booked appointment may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled start. In exceptional cases, such as unforeseeable events like illness or force majeure, cancellation or rescheduling on shorter notice may be allowed upon proof and after consultation. Otherwise, rescheduling counts as late. Cancellations less than 48 hours before the appointment, or no-shows, will incur a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the agreed session costs. Rescheduling is possible up to 24 hours before the appointment. After that, it is considered late. Cancellations and rescheduling must be made in writing (e.g., by email) and require confirmation by KeyToBetterLife LLC.
(2) If a booked appointment is cancelled once or twice at short notice without good reason, there is no entitlement to a further replacement appointment. However, the right to payment for the appointment remains. In case of repeated short-notice cancellations, KeyToBetterLife LLC will seek a clarifying conversation with the client and may offer goodwill arrangements in justified cases.
(3) In case of program termination, there is no entitlement to refunds for payments already made, unless a medical certificate is provided.
(4) Booked programs are binding; refunds after program start are excluded.
6. Right of Withdrawal
(1) A right of withdrawal exists in accordance with the statutory provisions for contracts concluded at a distance or outside business premises.
(2) The withdrawal period is 14 days and begins with the conclusion of the contract, which becomes effective upon receipt of the confirmation email by KeyToBetterLife LLC.
(3) For contracts concerning services, such as the offered packages and programs, it applies that if it is expressly agreed that the service will begin before the withdrawal period expires, the right of withdrawal expires proportionally for the service already rendered. A withdrawal is then only possible with regard to services not yet rendered.
(4) For digital content or downloads, there is no right of withdrawal after the full provision of the content, such as with hypno-audio recordings.
(5) If a withdrawal is made within the period after the program has already started, there is a claim to a proportional refund of the costs minus the services already rendered.
7. Cancellation by KeyToBetterLife LLC
(1) KeyToBetterLife LLC, represented by Dr. med. Mariam Konner, is entitled to cancel an appointment if Dr. med. Mariam Konner falls ill at short notice and no suitable replacement can be provided.
(2) In such a case, an attempt will first be made to find a replacement appointment for the client. If this is not possible, the client will receive a partial refund for the cancelled part of the service. Further costs, such as incurred overnight or travel expenses, will not be covered.
(3) If the client violates these General Terms and Conditions and behaves in breach of contract, particularly by disrupting the program flow, repeatedly failing to keep appointments, or concealing essential circumstances (e.g., influence of medication or intake of intoxicating substances), KeyToBetterLife LLC reserves the right to exclude the client from the program. In such cases, no refunds of already paid amounts will be made.
8. Usage Rights
(1) Audio, video, and PDF files, accompanying emails, and other materials may only be accessed (downloaded) and used by the client for their own personal use. Downloading and printing the files is permitted solely for private purposes. This also includes the use of technical support by third parties (e.g., copy shops).
(2) All other usage rights to the files and materials remain with KeyToBetterLife LLC. In particular, it is prohibited to make the content or the conveyed knowledge accessible to third parties, whether free of charge or for a fee. The materials are not intended for use in third-party consultations.
(3) Any reproduction, distribution, forwarding, or other use of the files and materials for third parties, whether for payment or free of charge, requires the express written consent of KeyToBetterLife LLC, both during and after the contractual relationship.
(4) The trademarks and logos printed on the materials are protected by trademark law. The client agrees to use the materials and files only within the scope expressly permitted here or within the scope of mandatory legal provisions and to prevent unauthorized use by third parties. This obligation applies even after termination, revocation, or cancellation of participation.
(5) Usage rights permitted under mandatory legal provisions remain unaffected by these terms.
9. Privacy and Confidentiality
(1) For the processing and handling of a booking, KeyToBetterLife LLC collects the following personal data:
- First and last name
- Address
- Email address
- For business clients, additionally the company name and VAT identification number.
- The specific mandatory fields depend on the respective package or program.
(2) For paid services, it is particularly important that the name, company name, and address are provided correctly. Invoices are issued based on this information. Subsequent changes to these data may involve reasonable additional effort, which may be charged.
(3) Changes to personal data, especially email address, must be reported immediately by email to mariam@keytobetterlife.com.
(4) The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Further information can be found in the KeyToBetterLife LLC Privacy Policy.
(5) As a medical professional, Dr. med. Mariam Konner takes the confidentiality and protection of clients’ personal information very seriously. Confidential data is therefore particularly protected and used only within the legally permissible scope and only disclosed in exceptional cases. The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Further information can be found in the Privacy Policy of KeyToBetterLife.
10. Technical Equipment and Personal Responsibility
The client is solely responsible for providing and ensuring a suitable internet connection, including the necessary hardware and telecommunications connections, as well as the technical equipment and software required to use the online services of KeyToBetterLife LLC. This specifically includes the use of up-to-date web browsers and programs for opening PDF documents (e.g., Acrobat Reader®). If video conferencing platforms other than the dial-in links provided by KeyToBetterLife LLC are used, this is at the client’s own risk and expense.
11. General Information about the KeyToBetterLife Program
(1) The KeyToBetterLife program is based on a trusting and responsible relationship between KeyToBetterLife LLC and the client, characterized by professional expertise and mutual respect.
(2) Participation requires self-responsible willingness to learn and change. Specific success cannot be guaranteed. KeyToBetterLife LLC supports the process through assistance, patterns, and guidance. The progress of the client depends primarily on their active participation, for example by regularly listening to the provided audio recordings. The implementation of measures and all decisions lie solely with the client.
(3) The Rapid Transformational Therapy© session does not constitute a medical therapy offer, does not replace recognized medical or psychotherapeutic treatment, and is not a classical therapy in the medical sense.
(4) The effectiveness of the method largely depends on the client’s willingness to engage with it. The responsibility for success lies exclusively with the client.
(5) The personal transformation audio is an integral part of the program. Full success can only be achieved if the client listens to the audio for at least 21 consecutive days after the Rapid Transformational Therapy© session while awake and internalizes the content.
(6) If psychotic disorders or schizophrenia are present, hypnosis should not be performed. KeyToBetterLife LLC clarifies this in the initial consultation. The client is liable for any deterioration of their condition if this diagnosis is withheld.
(7) The client agrees to active participation, implements agreed tasks, and, if part of the program, regularly uses the provided audios. Success largely depends on their own involvement.
12. Confidentiality Protection and Trade Secrets
(1) The client acknowledges that all information disclosed in the course of collaboration with KeyToBetterLife LLC regarding the nature and manner of service delivery, including developed ideas, concepts, and business experiences, as well as information that is confidential by law or by nature, is protected as trade secrets in accordance with the German Trade Secrets Act (GeschGehG).
(2) The client commits to maintaining the secrecy of these trade secrets and treating all confidential information as strictly confidential.
(3) Information about the nature of the collaboration may only be disclosed or published within the scope of a prior written agreement for reference purposes.
(4) The obligation of confidentiality extends beyond the termination of the collaboration.
(5) Exempt from the confidentiality obligation are information that was already publicly known at the time of disclosure, independently and autonomously developed, or subsequently became publicly accessible without fault on the part of the client.
(6) For any breach of the confidentiality obligation, an appropriate contractual penalty may be claimed.
13. Confidentiality and Liability Provisions
(1) KeyToBetterLife LLC commits to treating all confidential information of the client strictly confidentially during the duration and also after the end of the program. See also the Privacy Policy and Section 10 – Data Protection and Confidentiality – of these Terms and Conditions.
(2) The client undertakes to maintain confidentiality about all information marked as confidential that is obtained within the scope of the collaboration and to use such information towards third parties only with prior written consent from KeyToBetterLife LLC. This obligation also extends to all documents received or made accessible as part of the program.
(3) In group programs or programs with multiple participants, the duty of confidentiality also extends to confidential information of other participants that becomes known within the program.
(4) The duty of confidentiality continues beyond the end of the cooperation.
(5) In case of violation of the confidentiality obligation, an appropriate contractual penalty may be claimed.
14. Limitation of Liability
(1) KeyToBetterLife LLC is liable exclusively for intent and gross negligence. Liability for simple negligence is excluded, except in cases of breach of essential contractual obligations, the fulfillment of which fundamentally enables the proper execution of the contract and on which the client may regularly rely. In such cases, liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damage. Liability for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health as well as under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected. Any further liability, especially for simple negligence or damages to third parties, is excluded as far as legally permissible.
(2) RTT®, hypnosis, and coaching do not replace medical diagnosis or therapy; no medical or psychological cure is guaranteed. The services offered do not replace authorized medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment. No promise of healing is given; success depends significantly on the active cooperation of the client, e.g., regular use of provided audios for at least 21 days.
(3) By using the services, the client confirms that they are free from severe mental illnesses or have disclosed these to KeyToBetterLife LLC in advance. It is also confirmed that no consciousness-altering substances (such as drugs or certain medications) are being taken, or these are disclosed in advance if applicable. See also the Privacy Policy.
(4) All decisions, actions, and results are the sole responsibility of the client. Compliance with legal regulations is also the client’s responsibility.
(5) The services of KeyToBetterLife LLC are provided from Germany and are subject to German law. By booking, the client agrees to the jurisdiction in Germany.
(6) Technical disruptions during online or telehealth sessions do not affect the efficacy or validity of the services.

(2) The party affected by a force majeure event must inform the other party immediately.
(3) In the event of force majeure, contractual obligations are suspended for the duration of the event. Fees already paid remain with KeyToBetterLife LLC; payments for services already rendered are due. Payments for services not rendered may be paused.
(4) If the impediment lasts longer than 12 months, the contract may be terminated with a notice period of 3 weeks to the end of the month. Services already rendered are to be paid for. Any additional damages (e.g., travel costs) are borne by the respective parties.
(5) If the impediment lasts longer than 18 months, the contract ends with a final invoice. Outstanding payments are due within 14 days; credits will be refunded.
(6) Further claims due to force majeure are excluded; each party bears its own damages.
16. Jurisdiction, Choice of Law and International Application

For clients and companies within the EU, mandatory consumer protection regulations of their country of residence apply.
The place of jurisdiction and performance, insofar as legally permissible, is the provider’s registered office in Germany (Bergisch Gladbach).

International data transfers are conducted in compliance with the GDPR or suitable safeguards such as EU standard contractual clauses.
17. Final Provisions and Amendments to these Terms and Conditions
(1) These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) constitute the entire contractual basis between KeyToBetterLife LLC and the client. Amendments and additions to these GTC require written form; text form (e.g., email) is sufficient.
(2) KeyToBetterLife LLC is entitled to unilaterally amend these GTC if there is a factual reason, such as changes in law, adjustments to the offered services, changes in case law, or altered economic conditions. Significant changes affecting the client will be announced in a timely manner.
(3) The client has the right to object within 14 days after notification of a change. If no objection is raised, the changes become an effective part of the contract.
(4) If the client objects, KeyToBetterLife LLC may terminate the contract with a reasonable notice period.
(5) Should individual provisions of these GTC be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
